| Dr. Richard Mc Hugh | After completing his novitiate and juniorate in the USA, Dick McHugh came to India in 1951. Hindi studies in Bihar, Philosophy in Pune and ame to India in 1951. Hindi studies in Bihar, Philosophy in Pune and Shembaganur, Regency in Chaibasa, Theology in Kurseong, and Tertianship in Hazaribag, all prepared him to become Superior and Headmaster at St. Xavier's Hindi Medium High School in Lupungutu, outside Chaibasa from 1963-72. In 1973 he was sent to attend the first Sadhana course at De Nobili College, Pune. He stayed on as spiritual director in the thelogate and part time helper in Sadhana. In 1973 till Tony's death in 1987 he built up an intimate relationship with Tony and many of the participants at Sadhana referred to this relationship as one of the best experiences they witnessed while studying there. He remained at Lonavla till 1993 when he returned to the USA to finish his doctorate in NLP. At present he spends 6 months in India each year and 6 months in the USA and other countries giving de Mello workshops and courses in NLP.
